For many years the Winsford Trust played host to a twice weekly luncheon club. Unfortunately in 2011 this service had to be withdrawn due to insufficient funding and lack of support. This was a decision that was not taken lightly by the Trust and the Trustees have been working tirelessly to reinstate it. Alas, funding is still very difficult to obtain and therefore a suitable alternative has been found.
Discussions have taken place with Lyndridge Care, Okehampton and they are proposing a trial Day Care facility at the Winsford Centre from February 14th 2013.
Initially this will be held once a month on a Thursday and if sufficient numbers attend this will increase. Lyndridge are providing the following
- Day Care with two course lunch £10.00
- Assisted bathing £8.00
- Assisted bathing with toe nail clipping £10.00 (this service is not available for diabetics)
- Toe nail clipping £5.00
- Other care services available on request
